Simonis 860 is the worsted wool cloth used at most major pool tournaments. It is the standard choice for players who want fast, true roll and a long service life, at home or in a busy room.

Specifications (from Iwan Simonis)

• Worsted construction: 90% wool and 10% nylon
• Weight: about 410 g/m² (roughly 12 oz per square yard)
• Made in 66 in (165 cm) and 78 in (198 cm) widths
• Plays a little slower and with more control than Simonis 760
• Woven at the Simonis mill in Verviers, Belgium, which has made cloth since 1680. Production is ISO 9001 certified.

Why worsted cloth plays better

Worsted yarn is combed so only long fibers stay in the weave. With no loose short fibers there's nothing to shed, pill or fuzz up, so the surface stays flat and the ball holds its line and spin. Ordinary woolen felt wears into tracks over time. Worsted cloth stays consistent and lasts much longer.

Sizes

Cut for 7 ft, 8 ft and 9 ft tables, with 7 ft Diamond Cut, 8 ft oversize (8 OS) and 10 ft options. Each piece covers the bed and all six rails of a standard table. Not sure which size you need? Give us a call.
