Joss 1001 Walnut Pool Cue

Joss 1001 Walnut – Walnut Maple Cue Walnut Maple Cue with Timeless Style

The Joss 1001 Walnut is a beautifully crafted Walnut Maple Cue that combines premium Canadian curly maple, traditional cue-making methods, and the proven performance that players expect from Joss Cues.
The rich walnut finish enhances the wood’s natural beauty while creating a warm, classic appearance that looks as impressive today as it will decades from now.

Moreover, this Walnut Maple Cue appeals to players who appreciate understated elegance, solid construction, and exceptional playability.
Rather than relying on elaborate ornamentation, it allows the natural character of the wood and the quality of the craftsmanship to take center stage.

Because wood is a natural material, every cue develops its own distinctive appearance.

Wood is a natural substance, and the grain and color can vary greatly.

Therefore, each Joss 1001 Walnut possesses unique character and beauty.

Premium Curly Maple Selection

Carefully Chosen Canadian Maple

Every Joss 1001 Walnut begins with highly figured curly maple sourced from Canada.
Before any board enters production, I carefully evaluate its density, stability, and grain quality.

As a result, only wood that meets my exact standards is used in a Joss cue.

Curly maple, often called fiddle-back maple because of its use in fine violins, displays rippling grain patterns that create a remarkable three-dimensional effect.
As light moves across the cue, the figure appears to shift and come alive.

The forearm and butt sleeve feature solid curly maple enhanced with a hand-rubbed walnut stain.
This finishing process intensifies the grain while adding warmth, depth, and visual richness.

Consequently, the cue achieves a sophisticated appearance without sacrificing its traditional roots.

Traditional Craftsmanship

Irish Linen Wrap and Stainless-Steel Joint

For generations, master cue makers have relied on Irish linen wraps for their excellent grip, durability, and comfort.

Therefore, the Joss 1001 Walnut features a traditional black Irish linen wrap with white specks that I hand-press to perfection.
Not only does the wrap feel comfortable during long playing sessions, but it also complements the walnut finish beautifully.

Furthermore, I hand-polish every stainless-steel joint to a mirror finish.
This process enhances durability while providing the crisp feedback and firm hit that many experienced players prefer.

Together, these traditional materials create a cue that feels as good as it looks.

Full-Core Performance

Built for Consistency and Control

While the appearance attracts attention, performance remains the true measure of any cue.

The Joss 1001 Walnut features a full core that extends from the butt plate to the joint.
Because of this construction, the cue offers exceptional stability and increased resistance to warpage.

In addition, the full-core design creates the solid one-piece feel that has made Joss famous throughout the billiard world.
Energy transfers efficiently throughout the cue, producing dependable feedback, superior consistency, and outstanding control.

Whether you are competing in tournaments, league matches, or practicing your game, this cue responds with confidence and precision.
